About NBHA Canada

 The purpose of the National Barrel Horse Association of Canada is to
provide barrel racers with an organization that will promote the sport of barrel
racing and its growth with an international affiliation to allow for further
opportunities. Our goals are to increase the number of participants, improve the
quality of shows and enhance the image of barrel racing.

 

Our rules have been adopted to address the needs of NBHA members, promote fairness, eliminate confusion, and assist show organizers. NBHA revolutionized the barrel racing industry by pioneering the divisional format, which allows riders of all skill levels a chance to win money and prizes in barrel racing competition.

In 2022, NBHAC hosted over 360 horses at our Finals, which is the largest
show in Ontario history. The National Barrel Horse Association Canada enjoys the
benefits of being a part of the National Barrel Horse Association with over 24,000
members across the globe. The National Barrel Horse Association Canada is not
restricted to competition in Canada. At the NBHA international competition in
Augusta, Georgia; Canada has several competitors represent us each year.
